Sports Week 2016 Term 6

Sports Week 2016
We celebrated another fantastic sports week on the week beginning 4th July 2016. Sports week consisted of a range of exciting activities for the children to take part in. They played a variety of sports such as dodgeball, cricket, tag rugby, assault courses, gymnastics and many more. They also took part in a Mini-Olympic themed event to raise money for the NSPCC. ‘Teamtheme’ once again worked closely with us to help make sports week an excellent experience for all. They not only supported the sports day but ran two sporting activities throughout the week. The activities that ‘teamtheme’ ran were sitting down volleyball and archery linked to the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic games. The children got a lot out of these and had lots of fun.
We ran three sports days this year for year R, 1 and 2 so that the activities were appropriate for each year group. All of the classes were split into four teams and allocated a country that competes in the Olympic and Paralympic games. All of the days were great and the children really tried that best. Everyone who attended appeared to have a good time.
Sports week was fantastic for all people involved and the children had a lot of great experiences.
