Peggy Our School Dog

You may be aware that there is a growing movement in many schools to reintroduce the concept of school pets as a way of teaching all children responsibility and providing a source of pleasure and learning.

Peggy is a Cocker Spaniel, known for being extremely good with children, intelligent and easy to train.  When she was a puppy, she came into school on several occasions for us to assess her behaviour and temperament, in a school environment, and see whether she was suitable to become our school dog.

With parental permission, children are allowed to interact with Peggy under supervision from staff. We do everything we can to reassure children who are fearful and under no circumstances will they be forced to meet with her.

Whilst moving around the school, Peggy will always be on a lead with an adult who is responsible for managing her. Peggy will reside in Ms Brown and Mr Leone’s office when not with children or greeting you on the gate.

She cannot wait to meet you!
